Blade Study 17 Pike Street New York, NY 10013

This summer, July 16 - August 27th, Blade Study will host a seven-week writing workshop on Wednesday evenings.

The course will center around manifestos. We'll look at the manifesto not only as a political tool, but as a charged literary form that is opinionated, accessible and engaging, and might also be persuasive, or furious or sad or funny. Participants will write narrative prose that echoes the style of a manifesto, whether from a fictional voice or a real one.

We invite interested participants to apply to be considered for participation. Please note that the workshop will require homework including reading, writing, and meaningful engagement with other participants. Space is limited and we want to ensure that the duration of the course is time well spent for all who sign up. Qualified persons will anticipate 100% attendance and participation throughout the course. We will accept applications until June 18th.

This application process is to ensure participants engage with the material at the highest level. The course does not require prior experience with writing. Part of the purpose of the application process is to inform the seminar itself. Answers to this application will shape a realistic curriculum and class schedule, as well as inform expectations of participating persons. Please provide honest answers to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the application please don't hesitate to direct your questions to hello@bladestudy.net.

Tuition for accepted participants is $550.00/student.
